Cavitation, corrosion, fouling and filter plugging rarely trip an alarm. They quietly shorten the life of everything they touch. They are also the faults with the longest warning — which is what turns a maintenance conversation from reactive into scheduled.

Fewer unplanned failures

Reliability and availability loss is one of six costed consequences. It is driven by cavitation on all four pumps, reboiler corrosion and tube leaks, reflux system failure and amine carryover — each a named fault with its evidence attached, rather than a vibration threshold that fires after the damage.

The slow-wear set has the longest warning

Lean/rich exchanger fouling, reboiler scaling, general corrosion and filter plugging are fitted over a three-day look-back and projected forward against the threshold that would declare the fault. These are exactly the failures you can plan a shutdown around if you see them early enough.

Solvent life is the circularity story

Solvent lifetime loss is priced on its own, in reclaim, replacement and disposal. Thermal degradation above 127 °C and heat-stable salt build-up are what shorten it, and both are tracked as root causes with their own witnesses. Extending solvent life avoids virgin amine at one end and reclaimer waste at the other.

Consumables and equipment life

Filter plugging and bypass drives cartridge and pre-coat consumption. Corrosion decides how long the vessels and reboiler tubes last. Both appear as diagnosed faults with a cause, rather than as line items you first meet in next year's budget.

What it is not

  • Reliability here means fewer surprises, not a maintenance system. The platform does not hold work orders, does not schedule, and will not replace a CMMS. What it adds is earlier and better-attributed warning. It also says plainly what it cannot see: twelve blind spots are published for the reference train, and two of them — reboiler skin temperature and the unlogged condensate drum — matter directly for corrosion. We would rather publish that than let you assume the coverage is complete.
