Control

Turn a diagnosis into a controlled move.

Control diagnoses any moment in the plant history and says whether a set-point should be re-set. Each of the four handles an operator moves gets a bounded target with its evidence and guard checks, or a clear hold. It advises today: DCS writing stays off until the site gateway, interlocks and approvals are in place.

MVPEvery figure above is counted in the minimum viable product: the amine train modelled for gas sweetening and post-combustion carbon capture.

What it does

Four things it does that a dashboard does not.

01

A verdict for every handle

Lean amine to the absorber, reboiler steam, total lean circulation and antifoam. Each one reads re-set with a target, hold, or blocked — a move looks needed but a guard check fails.

02

Every target checked before it is shown

A proposed target is run on the reference model first. The page lists the guard checks it passed, the evidence behind it, and a confidence level.

03

It knows what a set-point cannot fix

A cavitating pump or a fouled bundle is not solved by moving a set-point. Those faults are listed as maintenance items, so "nothing to re-set" is never silent about them.

04

Only in steady operation

During a ramp or an upset every handle reads hold, and the page says why. A timeline of the whole record shows where re-sets were needed.

How it works

The pipeline, end to end.

  1. 1

    Pick a moment

Any point in the plant history, or read the timeline to find one.

  2. 2

    Diagnose it

The same six-hour diagnosis as Detect runs on that moment.

  3. 3

    Apply the re-set rules

Each handle is judged against the diagnosis and its hard limits.

  4. 4

    Check the target

The proposed value is run on the reference model before it is shown.

  5. 5

    Advise, do not write

The operator sees the target and the reasons, and makes the move.

Where it applies

Built for amine systems today. Not limited to them by design.

The platform is focused on acid gas removal — gas sweetening and post-combustion carbon capture — because that is where the model is calibrated and where the fault library is real. The method underneath is not amine-specific: a physics reference model, residuals against expected-healthy, fuzzy diagnosis over graded indicators, and costed consequences. Extending it to another unit means new datasheets and a new calibration, not a new platform.

The fastest way to judge this is to open it.

The platform runs on a real amine train with thirteen days of one-minute history behind it. Nothing on these pages is a mock-up.
